In
2003, Chad Cornette opened his architecture practice, Cantilever Studio,
on the urban shores of the Fox River in DePere, WI. Chad’s work
has maintained a focus on smaller commercial buildings, Civic, Urban
Planning and Residential projects. Chad’s reputation and experiences
with Sustainable building design and energy efficiency have created
a niche market for clients that want to infuse forward thinking construction
details with smart architectural designs.
Chad attained his bachelor degree in Architecture from UW Milwaukee
in 1995. In 1997, Chad entered the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture
and graduated with a Masters degree in Architecture with an emphasis
on Sustainable design.
Chad’s employment experiences ranged from the Alexander Company
design-build firm in Madison, WI, to Taliesin Architects in Scottsdale,
AZ, to Rick Joy Architect/builder in Tucson, AZ, Chuck Hunter Engineering
and Design in Eagle River, WI, and Martinson Architects in Green Bay,
WI. Chad’s work with these companies involved a diverse range
of experiences from Construction Administration, Construction Management,
Project Management, Architectural Drafting, Building Design and 3-D
modeling, and Specifications.
Building projects Chad Cornette has worked on range from master planned
communities and urban centers, office buildings, Country clubs, multi-family
residential, adaptive re-use, single family homes, churches, fire stations,
elementary school, library, civic monuments and park shelters, retail
box buildings, coffee shop, and international design competitions.
